Ms. Wheelchair Ohio 2023 – Allison Boot

Allison Boot, who lives with cerebral palsy, is a three-time self-published author with a Master of Arts in Mass Communication. As a “wheelin’ wordsmith,” she creates stories featuring disabled characters to spread messages of self-acceptance and equality to young people traveling paths similar to hers. While Allison enjoys writing and advocating very much, being a wife and dog mom is what she loves most.
Her platform: Characters with disabilities in literature geared toward young people help them Raise awareness, Embrace differences, Advocate for acceptance, and Dream big.
Allison contributed to a more inclusive society by sharing her platform with communities across Ohio. Additionally, she served as a leader, role model, and spokesperson for the disability community in our state. Allison’s reign culminated when she traveled to Grand Rapids, Michigan, to compete for the title of Ms. Wheelchair America 2024.
